We have been receiving calls from people asking for “the free windows for seniors.” While we would love to help, there are no free windows for seniors. (Shame on whoever is running those Facebook ads.)
However, there are programs in some counties to help low-income people weatherize their homes and replacement windows and exterior doors are a huge part of that. In Michigan, the Weatherization Assistance Program is administered by the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services. To access it in northwest Michigan, you need to contact your local Community Action Agency.
